Accident Hampers Relief Efforts in Indonesia

Badly-needed relief efforts on the Indonesian island of Sumatra have been hit by an accident at a key airport. The airport in Banda Aceh was closed early on Tuesday after a plane carrying supplies hit a cow on the runway. The airport is vital to supply aid to remote areas struck by the December 26 earthquake and tsunami. The UN fears the death toll will rise "exponentially" once aid workers are able to fully assess the extent of the damage on Sumatra's western coast.
