Bulgaria's "Mila from Mars" movie added yet another international award to its collection after sweeping the prize in Mannheim.

The film of the young Bulgarian director Zornica Sophia received the Rainer Werner Fassbinder Award and the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the International Filmfestival Mannheim-Heidelberg.

"Mila from Mars" will also compete with movies from 49 countries for nomination for the foreign-language prize of February's Academy Awards.

The film directed by young director Zornitsa Sophia swept the top award, with a purse of EUR 25,000, at the Sarajevo Film Festival earlier in end August.
