Bulgaria's top figure skating couple Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviski finished second at the fifth tournament of the Grand Prix series in Paris.

Their 208.30 points did not allow them to catch up with the winners, Tatiana Navka and Roman Kostomarov from Russia, who recieved 221.23 points.

The second place, however, sends the Bulgarain pair to the Grand Prix finals in Pekin December 16-19.

Two week ago the couple swept the NHK Trophy in Japan, leaving behind Russian favourites Tatiana Navka and Roman Kostomarov.

The best Bulgarian male figure skater Ivan Dinev finished sixth the competition with a total of 152.72 points.
