Russian pop icon Alla Pugacheva thrilled with her performance all fans that came to her Sofia concert.

The entire Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture stood up on its feet as the Russian prima sang for Bulgaria's pop legend Emil Dimitrov. The nearly 3-hour long concert was said to be one of Alla's last shows before she waved goodbye to her music career.

Pugacheva performed almost all 20 songs from her latest album released in 2003. The Russian prima said, " My destiny, which was a happy one, began here. My life was both tragic and comic. Now I feel a strange feeling, a mixture of happiness and sadness because that would be the beginning of my end. Thank you for accepting me!"

Alla swept the 1975 Golden Orpheus award with the Arlekino hit of Bulgarian Emil Dimitrov. That launched Pugacheva into the stars of the Russian music.

Pugacheva admits she has always been emotionally attached to Bulgaria not only because it is the place where her brilliant career started years ago but also because her husband, Russian superstar Philip Kirkorov, was born in Bulgaria.

Alla Pugacheva has recorded over 300 songs in 20 albums, reaching sales of over 250 million copies.
