Residents of the central-Bulgaria town of Klisura celebrated a unique potato holiday Friday, with potato exhibitions and a contest for sculptures made of mashed potatoes. The root crops cultivation has been the main occupation for many of Klisura's people. They are celebrating the potato holiday for the 18th time this year, marking the end of the crops gathering season. Klisura hosted a competition for sculptures moulded out of mashed potatoes, and saw more than 80 unique dishes. Also on Friday, the town opened a new exhibition at the country's sole Potato Museum. A wide range of potato sorts, as well as oddly shaped and sized ones could be seen at the place.
