Sofia Sees Bulgarian - French Film Premier A Bulgarian-French feature film called "Meme Dieu est venu nous voir" -"And God Came Down to See Us"- will be presented in Sofia on Friday.

A Bulgarian-French feature film called "Meme Dieu est venu nous voir" -"And God Came Down to See Us"- will be presented in Sofia on Friday.

The Bulgarian-language production is directed by Peter Popzlatevn and is a remake of an earlier movie from a screenplay by noted famous writer Stanislav Stratiev. The remake was financially supported by the Council of Europe's film fund Eurimages.

This movie brought its director Popzlatev won the Best Director Award at the 26th Golden Rose Festival of Bulgarian Feature Films.

"Meme Dieu" tells the story of a French sociologist who travels to a Bulgarian village near the country's border with Turkey and Greece, to do field research on ethnic conflicts.
