Milosevic Lawyers Throw up the Sponge

Lawyers appointed to defend former Yugoslav leader Slobodan Milosevic pleaded to quit, after he has refused to cooperate with the team and insisted on defending himself. Solicitors pleaded for the former president to be allowed to defend himself at his war crimes trial. The prosecution, on the contrary, said leaving Milosevic to represent himself alone would delay hearings even further.
