Typhoon Tokage has torn across Japan, killing almost 50 people and leaving dozens missing. Media said that Tokade was the deadliest typhoon to hit the country in a decade. The storm reached a speed of 229 km/h as it battered the southwest. It then slowed down before sweeping over Tokyo and passing out to sea. So far this season, more than 150 people have been killed by typhoons.
