The history museum in the Bulgarian town of Kazanlak were display for the first time pieces of the unique Thracian treasure recently discovered at the Golyamata Kosmatka and Malkata Kosmatka mounds.

The museum has imposed unprecedented security measures as the gold, silver and bronze items should be put on display. The pieces will be kept in seven armoured showcases, with non-stop security guard. New cameras and a safer front door have also been installed at the site.

The museum has spent some EUR 25,000 on boosting security for the expo, which will continue until October 29.
