About 30,000 football fans will neglect the cold and rainy weather in Sofia Wednesday afternoon to watch live the Mondial qualifier game between Bulgaria and Malta.

The match will be Hristo Stoitchkov's debut as hosting team on the National Stadium "Vassil Levski".

The interest toward Bulgaria's clash with the outsider Malta has rocketed after the surprising snatch of a 2-2 draw against Croatia last Saturday.

The order and security in the capital city during tonight's match will be provided by nearly 1,000 policemen and gendarmerie. A large patch of the city center will be closed for private vehicles for about five hours starting 4 pm.

A win for the marvels of Hristo Stoitchkov would place Bulgaria atop of the World Cup qualifying group for this year.
