Austrian Writer Wins Nobel Prize

The Austrian novelist and playwright Elfriede Jelinek has won this year's Nobel Literature Prize. She's only the 10th woman and the first since 1996 to win the prestigious award. Jelinek is a controversial figure both at home and abroad for her outspoken views on political and social issues. One of her most well-known books is "The Piano Teacher" which was also turned into a successful film three years ago.
