THE NEW BULGARIAN PRESIDENT ELECTED WITH 53,5%

The Central Electoral Commission announced the latest preliminary results, according to which Georgi Parvanov garnered 53,5% votes while 46,5% from the Bulgarians who voted supported Stoyanov. The results are preliminary from 24 regional commissions, Bisser Trayanov, spokesman of the Central Electoral Commission underscored. According to Mihail Konstantinov, Central Electoral Commission member, no serious fluctuations are to be expected. He added that the difference in the final results will not be bigger than 1% - 1,5%. 55,13% electoral turnout has been registered so far. Final results are to be announced by midnight on November 21.
