A new sightseeing service around Bulgaria's Valley of the Kings, near the town of Kazanlak, is expected to kick off within days.

Kossyo Zarev has told Bulgarian news agency the program envisages a Thracian-valley-round tour guided by an archeologist from the museum.

The route in the Kazanlak valley, whose fame as the hearth of roses and rose oil is about to give way to the fabulous Valley of the Kings, is a joint project of municipal authorities, the local museum, the Culture Ministry and the archeologist Georgi Kitov.

Kitov is heading the TEMP 2004 expedition with recent findings bringing their leader the popularity of Bulgaria's Indiana Jones.

More than 1,000 tourists have visited the mystical valley since the beginning of 2004, nearly double more than last year, director Zarev stated.

The Thracian valley, in the outskirts of southern Balkans Chain, huddles some 500 pagan temples and sanctuaries and Thracian burial mounds.
