Bulgarian musicians and journalists marked the International Day of Pace with a football match in Sofia.

Prominent Bulgrian football coaches Dimitar Penev and Plamen Markov headed the two teams. All the participants in the game were dressed in T-shirts bearing the Peace One Day logo.

The journalists' team included Niki Kanchev from the Bulgarian "Who Wants to be a Millionaire", Ivan and Andrey from the Sblasak TV show, sports journalists Tomislav Rusev and Sasho Dikov and many other famous Bulgarians from the TV and radio air.

Right after the football game there was a concert feauturing popular bands BTR, D2, Kaffe, Hazart , Sleng, Ahead.

Through sports and cultural events Bulgaria's Sports Ministry, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the UN Resident Coordinator for Bulgaria organize observance of the Peace One Day initiative.

In Bulgaria, the Peace One Day idea brings together prominent and respected public figures - Olympic champions, show business stars, music stars and artists. This is the third year of observance of the International Day of Peace in Bulgaria.
