India plans to build a solar power plant at the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.

The solar energy could be very useful, India's envoy to Bulgaria, who was at a visit to Black Sea city Burgas said, adding that the city is a subject of special interest to several Indian companies.

The idea for the construction of a power plant at the Bulgarian Black Sea coast was first launched by Foreign Minister Solomon Passy during his visit to India in July. Passy also invited India to participate in the tender for the construction of Bulgaria's second nuclear power plant in Belene.
