On the seventh anniversary of the death of Princess Diana on Tuesday, it has been revealed a new film based on the tragedy is being planned. Dame Helen Mirren is set to star as Queen Elizabeth II in the movie, which examines the relationship between Buckingham Palace and Downing Street in the week following the late royal's deadly Paris car crash on August 31, 1997. Seven years after the death of Princess Diana sparked a national outpouring of grief across Britain, the memory of general public still remains aware of her remarkable life.
