The bodies of two Turkish hostages who were shot dead have reportedly been found in northern Iraq. Arabic TV station al-Jazeera said the men's remains were discovered in Baiji, a key oil refinery town. The reported execution of the two Turks came a day after the killing of kidnapped Italian journalist Enzo Baldoni on Thursday. Abdullah Ozdemir and Ali Daskin, both engineers, were kidnapped from their workplace at an unidentified location in Iraq. Armed militants threatened to execute them unless their company withdrew from Iraq within 72 hours. Turkey's Anatolia news agency later reported that the pair's employer had announced it was ending operations in Iraq.
