Ivet Lalova, who ended fifth in the 200m and fourth in the 100m Olympic finals, received a hero's welcome on her return Friday from Athens.

The most popular sprinter in the country, Lalova recorded Bulgaria's best performance so far in Olympic games. Already used to adulation from fans and journalists, she was met by dozens of fans and friends at Sofia airport.

The 20-year-old is on her way to top the Olympics in a new ranking of sport beauties in Athens 2004.
