Greek's judo champion, who fell from a third-floor balcony August 7, has died in hospital.

Eleni Ioannou, 20, was a heavyweight on Greece's national team, competing at 172 pounds and above.

The fatal fall reportedly came during an argue between the athlete and her boyfriend, Giorgos Chrisostomides, a 19-year-old auto mechanic, who is also lying in the hospital.

Police repeatedly questioned the live-in boyfriend, but Chrisostomidas has denied any wrongdoing.

No charges have been raised against him yet.
