Bulgaria's football coach Hristo Stoitchkov voced satisfaction with the team's performance against the Republic of Ireland.

In Wednesday's friendly, the Bulgarians managed to reach a draw after suffering 0-1 in the first half. The goal was scored by teenager Valeri Bojinov, and was his first one for the national team. The 19-year-old made his debut on the team just a few months ago, in a EURO 2004 encounter with Italy.

Stoitchkov, who made his coaching debut in the game, said he was impressed by the younger players - Bojinov, Hristo Yanev and Chavdar Yankov.

Still, there is still room for improvement, the legendary Barcelona footballer said, referring to striker Dimitar Berbatov.
