Iliya Bozhinov, Director of the Civic Initiative for Free and Democratic Elections expressed his concerns that there are possibilities the results from the coming run-offs to be forged. According to him, there is a possibility for mistakes and forgeries due to the fact that the votes counting will be done only by the Central Electoral Commission. Civic Initiative for Free and Democratic Elections conducts a parallel counting and the organization’s results sometimes differ with 3,000 to 4,000 votes compared to those, announced by the Central Electoral Commission. Bozhinov pointed out that the Civic Initiative for Free and Democratic Elections does not exclude mistakes in its own results. According to him, though, when the results differ, it should be seen where the mistake is. That is why, according to him, it should not be allowed the Central Electoral Commission only to count the votes. Later during the day, the spokeswoman of the Central Electoral Commission Tsveta Markova categorically said that there is no possibility for elections results forgery.
