Safety concerns and high prices have been blamed for the absence of tourists in Athens, days before the opening of the Olympic Games. Ticket sales figures show that more than half of the 5.3m total have yet to be sold. These will be biggest games in the history of the Olympics - 10,500 athletes will participate from 202 countries.
