Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry has a strong lead over President Bush in California, according to a poll. A Field Poll of 633 Californians between July 30 and Aug. 4 found that 51 percent favored challenger Kerry against 40 percent for Bush. Seven percent of those polled were undecided in the survey, which had a 4.1 percent margin of error.
