CONTROL SYSTEM FOR SHIP TRAFFIC IN BG

Bulgarian-Dutch pilot project for a system of management of the ship traffic was opened today in Varna by Minister of transport and communication A. Slavinski. The product will provide information about the location and the movement of the vessels. It is the first project of that kind in the Black Sea region. The system will be completed by 2008. The total value of the project is EUR 11.5 M. EUR 3.4 M out of it will be provided under PHARE programme. EUR 1 M will be allocated by the Dutch state under the pre-accession programme.
