Macedonian authorities fear violent protests over a bill that would grant ethnic Albanians in the country greater powers. The move would leave two municipalities, Kicevo and Struga, under Albanian control. On Monday, the central streets of Skopje were sealed off to prevent possible violence. Dozens of protesters and policemen were injured in Struga last week, during a blustering rally.
