UN Starts Talks on New Iraqi Resolution

UN Security Council members begin informal talks on a resolution in support of a new Iraqi provisional government and the problematic status of US forces, when the US-led occupation officially ends on June 30.But no text will be circulated at the late afternoon session, organized by Britain, until UN envoy Lakhdar Brahimi reports on his efforts to form a caretaker government. A vote is not expected until next month, council diplomats said.
