An Al-Qaeda leader for Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Gulf was killed in a shootout with Saudi security forces in Riyadh on Tuesday. Yemeni Khaled Ali bin Haj is suspected of having ordered the attacks in Riyadh which killed 52 people in May and November 2003, AFP reported, citing an unnamed source. Earlier on Tuesday Saudi's interior ministry confirmed that Haj was killed along with Saudi Ibrahim bin Abdul Aziz bin Mohammed Al-Mazini. They had opened fire on security men when ordered to stop the jeep they were travelling in and police shot back at them.
