US teenager Lee Malvo faced a life sentence for being involved in the 2002 Washington shooting attacks that killed ten. Earlier, his accomplice and mentor in the shootings, John Allen Muhammad, was sentenced to death by another court. Malvo, now aged 19, confessed to committing several of the murders, including that of FBI analyst Linda Franklin.
