Leader of Haitian anti-president rebels Guy Philippe has said that the planned attack on capital Port-au-Prince will be postponed with "a day or two." Philippe, who is directing rebels' actions from his headquarters in northern Haiti, said that the hold off was requested by the US. Meanwhile, Washington intensified pressure on Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide to step down, directly blaming him for the crisis. On Saturday, the Haitian capital was seized by panic, looming and violence, and several people were killed. The streets of Port-au-Prince are said to be quieter now, after Aristide called for calm.
