Democratic nominee and former Vermont Governor Howard Dean announced Wednesday his decision to quit the race for the US presidential post. "I am no longer actively pursuing the presidency," Dean said, but underlined his campaign for change still continued. In Tuesday's Wisconsin primary, Dean came out third, with John Kerry and John Edwards on the first and second positions respectively. "We must beat George Bush in November, whatever it takes," Dean maintained.
