USD 300,000 to Boost Bulgaria's Energy Efficiency

A gratuite donation of USD 300,000 by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development is aimed at boosting Bulgaria's energy efficiency, the Cabinet approved on Thursday.

It will set the pillars of the new Energy Efficiency Fund, with a Bulgarian co-financing of USD 50,000.

The initiative to achieve energy efficiency will be implemented by projects of reducing energy consumption and renewal of energy resources.

Bulgaria's Cabinet decided also that an intergovernmental working group will further draft a strategy on processing waste nuclear fuel and radioactive leftovers.
