Bush Orders Check into Iraqi Intelligence

US President George Bush announced an inquiry into pre-war intelligence that said Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction. He told reporters he would set up an "independent, bipartisan" panel. Bush will appoint the members and set the terms of the commission, which is not expected to report before the presidential election in November. The US move will increase pressure for similar inquiries in Britain and Australia, which joined the US-led war.
