A judge has cleared British Prime Minister Tony Blair of dishonorable behavior in the death of a British expert on Iraqi weapons, a newspaper said Wednesday, citing what it called leaked details of the closely guarded verdict. Lord Hutton, a senior appeals judge, was to publish his findings Wednesday on the inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the apparent suicide last July of weapons inspector David Kelly, who was at the centre of a controversy over the war in Iraq. Alleged leaks of Hutton's findings, reported by The Sun newspaper, say he has cleared Blair of any dishonorable conduct, exonerated Blair's former aide Alastair Campbell, and harshly criticized the BBC. The report cannot be confirmed until Hutton makes his findings public.
