US Secretary of State Colin Powell reiterated that it was an "open question" as to whether stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction were hidden in Iraq, at the end of a two-day visit in Russia aimed at moving US-Russian relations beyond the dispute over the Iraq war. After a meeting with Russian FM Igor Ivanov, Powell said that Russia and the United States had put aside their bitter disagreement over the need for the war and were both "trying to look forward toward the future and not the past."
