There will be no verdict in the trial of a man accused of murdering Swedish Foreign Minister Anna Lindh until a psychiatric evaluation has established whether he is mentally deranged, a court ruled. As the murder trial of Mijailo Mijailovic, a 25-year-old Swede of Serbian origin, wound up with final pleas from the prosecution and the defence, the court said it had to find out whether the accused knew what he was doing when he attacked Lindh in a Stockholm department store on September 10. The court will reconvene in four to five weeks to pronounce its decision based on the results of the examination, and the evidence presented in Mijailovic's trial which wound up Monday after three days of deliberations.
