Bulgarian Theodosii Spasov, the greatest virtuoso of the kaval, will pool efforts with Glen Moore, the bassist for the renowned group Oregon and the drummer of Sting in a unique CD to be out on the market in the short while, Dimitur Panev, producer of famous Bulgarian musicians in Germany, said.

The decision for the release of the album came in the wake of the extraordinary success of the trio's concert in Germany.

"Balkan Winds" is the other project, which harnessed the efforts both of Dimitur Panev and Theodosii Spasov. A constant overhaul of the team line-up is what distinguishes it from other similar projects.

Theodosii Spasov has come to be recognized as the world's greatest master of kaval, a simple end-blown tube. Over the years he came to develop a unique musical identity, fusing contemporary jazz with distinctly Bulgarian folklore.

The world-renowned kaval player was crowned "Personality of 2003" in the Arts category in the latest poll of Novinite.com. He was followed by virtuoso violin player Vasko Vassilev who garnered 29% of the votes of novinite.com readers and prominent Bulgarian painter Svetlin Russev who came third with 19% of the votes.
