Bulgarian reporter Elena Yoncheva, who was the only Bulgaria journalist covering the war in Iraq, is going to shoot a new film about the war-torn country. She is planning to leave February for Karbala, where the Bulgarian infantry unit is deployed, TRUD Daily informed on Sunday.

Yoncheva told the newspaper that she wished to shed more light on the current situation in Iraq. "The situation there has always been tense. But I will not give up and will be back to finish my work," she said.

State TV reporter Elena Yoncheva and Sofia-based Reuters photographer Oleg Popov were bestowed high-military awards for their professionalism in covering the war in Iraq last year.
