Japan Gives out USD 500,000 for Quaked Iran

In response to the UN Flash Appeal on January 13 the Government of Japan has decided to extend a contribution of USD 500,000 to protect the cultural heritage of Bam city in South Eastern Iran, which sustained large-scale damage from the earthquake that occurred on December 26 last year. The aid will be utilized to implement projects for the protection and restoration of the Bam Citadel, a precious cultural heritage of Iran.
