At least 5 people were killed in a blast outside a Shiite mosque northeast of Baghdad, as US troops rounded up suspected insurgents in Tikrit and Iraq 's interim leadership endorsed Kurdish autonomy within a federal system. Officials said that at least two people were killed and over 30 were injured in the explosion outside the Shiite Muslim mosque in the town of Baquba, 60 kilometers from Baghdad. A US military spokesperson confirmed two Iraqis were killed and two wounded in the attack, which was near a military civil affairs center. Some of the injured claimed that the blast was caused by a powerful bomb timed to go off exactly after the end of prayers on the Muslim holy day.
