North Korea has offered to suspend testing and producing nuclear weapons and freeze its nuclear industry, as a way to end the stand off with the US. In a statement, released by the official KCNA news agency, declared its will to make a "bold concession" and give a positive turn to the heavy international talks aimed at defusing the crisis. Two groups of US experts are due to arrive in Pyongyang on Tuesday, but the US government has said the visit was unofficial. Pyongyang has in the past offered to freeze its nuclear programme in return for a non-aggression pact with the United States, but it was asked first to dismantle its nuclear programme.
