Serbia is voting in a general election which is being seen as a make or break moment for its fledgling democracy. The democratic bloc which overthrew former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic three years ago has split. Polls are predicting that the largest party in the new parliament will be the nationalist Serbian Radical Party. But though the radicals could win up to 25% of the vote, it seems likely that democrats will form a coalition when results are known after Sunday's poll. Two or three parties are expected to work together in a broadly pro-Western European bloc. But they have warned that it will be hard to find a consensus to push forward stalled reforms.
