Spanish PM Makes Surprise Visit to Troops in Iraq

Spain's Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar has made a surprising trip to Iraq to visit the Spanish troops there. Aznar, accompanied by 17 other delegates, visited the Iraqi town of Diwaniya where some 1,300 Spanish soldiers are based. After a lunch with them, the prime minister reportedly left back for Spain. "You are working for a world that is far more free, more stable and more safe," he said in a Christmas address to the troops.
