Saddam Capture Ups Bush Approval Rating

The capture of Saddam Hussein has given US President George W. Bush his highest job-approval rating in six months, shows a USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup poll. The poll found that 63 percent of Americans approve of the overall job the president is doing, up from 54 percent just before Saddam's arrest on Saturday. The poll also showed that Americans are increasingly supportive of, and optimistic about, the U.S. effort in Iraq.
