Car Bomb Kills 9 Near Baghdad

A car bomb that exploded at a small settlement near Iraqi capital Baghdad on Monday killed at least nine people, news agencies reported. A second blast took place near a police station in the capital, but reportedly injured no one. Yet another car bomb was found near another Baghdad police station but was defused. The incidents come as hundreds of people across the country flocked on the streets to celebrate the capture of former dictator Saddam Hussein. The ousted president was found by US troops in a mud hut basement near his hometown of Tikrit. He is currently in US custody, reportedly in Baghdad.
