Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi said he wants to visit Iraq, as he prepares to send troops to help rebuild the war-torn country. He also added that he doesn't know when will the visit take place. He told that after he attended the funeral for two Japanese diplomats slain in an attack in northern Iraq a week ago. Katsuhuko Oku, 45, and Masamori Inoue, 30, were shot dead along with their 54-year-old Iraqi driver near the northern Iraqi city of Tikrit. The deaths marked the first Japanese casualties in Iraq since the US-led invasion in March. The foreign ministry posthumously promoted Oku and Inoue to ambassador and first secretary.
