Turkey Decides Not to Send Troops to Iraq

Turkey will not send troops to Iraq though the country supports the deployment of NATO forces in Iraq, Turkey's Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul said at the Thursday NATO Council session in Brussels.Gul made this statement after the US Secretary of State Colin Powell said that NATO should undertake a mission in Iraq, adding that it is likely that the sending of Turkish troops to Iraq on behalf of NATO might be discussed.
