Turkey on Alert after Tip-off for Bombers Assault on PM

Police in Istanbul are on alert after a tip-off for a planned attempt on the life of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other high-ranking officials, Turkish online news provider Journal Turk reported, citing information of the General Police Directorate in Turkey. According to the report the assassination will be carried out by suicide bombers. The news come after last month's deadly bombings on the two Istanbul synagogues and the British Consulate and a London-based bank in Istanbul, which killed 61 people.
