Wife, Daughter of Saddam's Top Deputy Arrested

US troops in Samarra, 70 miles north of Iraqi capital Baghdad, arrested the wife and daughter of Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, a top Saddam Hussein deputy, on Wednesday, US military official has said. Al-Douri has been suspected of organizing attacks on US troops. During the regime of the ousted Iraqi leader al-Douri was vice chairman of the ruling Revolutionary Command Council, and just before the beginning of the war Saddam placed him in charge of defense in northern Iraq.
