Georgia's new interim leader Nino Burdzhanadze has hailed the non-violent transition of power, and urged the country's people to return to work. Burdzhanadze's words came during her first televised national address following the resignation of Eduard Shevardnadze. "We have managed to overcome the gravest crisis in Georgia's recent history without shedding a single drop of blood," Burdzhanadze said. Shevardnadze stepped down after opposition protesters stormed parliament over alleged election fraud.
