NEGOTIATIONS WITH IMF MAY RESUME OCTOBER 23

Politics | October 18, 2001, Thursday // 00:00

The International Monetary Fund mission to Bulgaria, headed by Jerald Schiff is expected to arrive on October 23 in Sofia. The IMF representatives and the Bulgarian Government will negotiate and agree on the parameters of 2002 Bulgarian budget. A possible long deferment of the agreement will be a bad sign for foreign investors and will result in lower electoral confidence, Dnevnik Daily wrote. At least one more time the mission will arrive to Bulgaria before the agreement is finalized. So far the conditions and the term of the agreement are not determined.
